Steve Wallace began his legal career in 1988, and practices in the areas of commercial and individual bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and remedies, debtors’ rights and remedies, banking law, commercial litigation, commercial transactions, asset protection planning, and enforcement of judgments.   In his practice, Steve strives to find creative and cost-effective solutions to complex problems facing lenders, borrowers, individuals, and businesses.

Steve has been a speaker for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Bankruptcy Association of Southern Illinois, the Southern Illinois Bankruptcy Institute, the National Business Institute, and the Illinois Credit Union League.   He is a member of the Local Rules Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Illinois and is presently a Trustee for cases under Subchapter V of Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.  Steve is also a contributor for West Publishing Corporation’s Practical Law Toolkit, Southern Illinois Local Bankruptcy Rules.

Prior to his legal career, Steve was a lending officer for two commercial banks in Southern Illinois.
