Attorney
Sean Featherstun has spent more than 20 years fighting for justice on behalf of the people of Southern Illinois. After graduating summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1997 and earning his law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2001, Sean returned to Jefferson County to begin his legal career.
Sean quickly built a reputation for strong advocacy and integrity in the Public Defender’s Office, where he was promoted to the Office of Chief Public Defender in 2012. In 2016, Sean was elected Jefferson County State’s Attorney where he personally prosecuted some of the community’s most serious crimes while also supervising a staff of five (5) attorneys. During his tenure, the Jefferson County State’s Attorney’s Office obtained ‘Guilty’ verdicts in over forty (40) criminal felony jury trials, including eight (8) first–degree murder trials.
Sean’s extensive trial experience and dedication to doing what’s right made him a trusted name in the courtroom. Today, Sean brings that same passion for advocacy to his personal injury practice at Goldenberg Heller & Antognoli, P.C., where he gives clients a voice when they need it the most in representing individuals and families whose lives have been turned upside down by injuries. Sean works diligently to hold negligent parties accountable, while giving clients a voice when they need it most.
Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, jiu jitsu, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
