Jennifer joined the firm in October 2019, after working as an insurance defense attorney with Reed, Armstrong, Mudge & Morrissey, P.C., for seven years. She obtained extensive experience in the defense of car accident and premises liability cases in the third-party context, as well as the defense of uninsured and underinsured motorist cases and workers’ compensation cases. She also assisted with the defense of major insurance carriers in insurance coverage and bad-faith litigation. Jennifer has tried cases as first chair in Madison County, Illinois; Macon County, Illinois; St. Clair County, Illinois; and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. She has also argued before the Illinois Appellate Court workers’ compensation panel, and she presented oral argument at the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in November 2012.

During law school, Jennifer was a member of the Journal of Legal Medicine and published an article addressing the need for higher standards of hospital compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act in regard to hearing-impaired patients. She also worked in the Southern Illinois University Law School Civil Practice Clinic, providing free legal assistance to senior citizens in the thirteen southernmost counties in Illinois. As a result of that work, Jennifer received the Howard Eisenberg Client Service Award in 2011.

Jennifer was selected as a 2019 Emerging Lawyer by Emerging Lawyers Magazine, and she was also selected as a Rising Star for 2019 and 2020 by Super Lawyers.
